Van Dusen mansion to be on MSP Home Tour
The Minneapolis/Saint Paul Home Tour guide landed in my mailbox yesterday. And I was pleased to discover that the Van Dusen mansion, that glorious 1892 house perched on the corner of 19th and LaSalle Avenues, will be open to the public this year. The guide describes it as a mansion "distinguished by its pink Sioux quartzite stone and its exuberant turreted roofline." A Business Week story noted that the home was once listed for sale at $3.9 million. The tour is scheduled for April 28-29 and is free. Now, that's a steal. (Photo courtesy of Business Week)
